Moses's blessing on Israelites
Dt 7:12-26 12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments,
and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the
mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: 13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and
multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy
corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep,
in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 14 Thou shalt be blessed above
all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. 15
And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases
of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the Lord thy God shall deliver thee; thine
eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a
snare unto thee. 17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how
can I dispossess them? 18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what
the Lord thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; 19 The great temptations which
thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out
arm, whereby the Lord thy God brought thee out: so shall the Lord thy God do unto all the
people of whom thou art afraid. 20 Moreover the Lord thy God will send the hornet among
them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed. 21 Thou shalt
not be affrighted at them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
22 And the Lord thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou
mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee. 23 But
the Lord thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty
destruction, until they be destroyed. 24 And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand,
and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand
before thee, until thou have destroyed them. 25 The graven images of their gods shall ye
burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto
thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God. 26
Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like
it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed
thing.
God's blessing on the midwifes
Ex 1:16,17,20,21 16. And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women,
and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a
daughter, then she shall live. 17. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of
Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.... 20. Therefore God dealt well
with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. 21. And it came to
pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

that thou mayest eat and be full.

in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon
mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.

honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.
Dt 28:1-14 1. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto
the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command

2. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken
unto the voice of the Lord thy God. 3. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed
shalt thou be in the field. 4. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of
thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy
sheep. 5. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. 6. Blessed shalt thou be when thou
comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. 7. The Lord shall cause thine
enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out
against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. 8. The Lord shall command the
blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and
he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 9. The Lord shall
establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep
the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. 10. And all people of the
earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Lord; and they shall be afraid of
thee. 11. And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and
in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord
sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 12. The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure,
the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of
thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13. And the
Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou
shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God,
which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14. And thou shalt not go aside
from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to
go after other gods to serve them.
Moses's blessings on Israel
Dt 33:6-29 6. Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be
few. 7. And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, Lord, the
voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be
thou an help to him from his enemies. 8. And of Levi he said, Let thy
Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom
thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 9. Who said unto his father and to his mother,
I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children:
for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. 10. They shall teach Jacob thy
judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt
sacrifice upon thine altar. 11. Bless, Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his
hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him,
that they rise not again. 12. And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the
Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he
shall dwell between his shoulders. 13. And of Joseph he said, Blessed of
the Lord be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep
that coucheth beneath, 14. And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for
the precious things put forth by the moon, 15. And for the chief things of the ancient
mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16. And for the precious
things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the
bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him
that was separated from his brethren. 17. His glory is like the firstling of his bullock,
and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together
to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the
thousands of Manasseh. 18. And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in
thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents. 19. They shall call the
people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they
shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. 20. And of Gad
he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with

executed the justice of the Lord, and his judgments with Israel. 22. And of Dan
he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. 23. And of Naphtali he

thou the west and the south. 24. And of Asher he said, Let Asher be
blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in
oil. 25. Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. 26.
There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and
in his excellency on the sky. 27. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the
everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say,
Destroy them. 28. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be
upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. 29. Happy art thou, O
Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who
is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou
shalt tread upon their high places.
